Talia Oyando Breaks Silence on Her Weight Loss Journey

Media personality and reggae MC Talia Oyando has addressed the wave of curiosity surrounding her dramatic weight loss after unveiling her new look on social media. The former Citizen TV host’s transformation quickly went viral, prompting questions about whether her journey was natural or medically supported.

What Led Talia Oyando to Begin Her Weight Loss Journey?

Talia revealed that her decision to lose weight was influenced by health concerns following a knee injury. She shared that doctors advised her to cut weight to avoid surgery and ease pressure on her knee. “Having a busted knee also doesn’t help, and to avoid surgery, I need to lose weight, get on physiotherapy, keep my nutrition, and stay focused,” she said.

To achieve her goals, Talia opted for semaglutide shots, a prescription medication that aids in sustainable weight management under medical supervision. Explaining the treatment, she noted, “This is more than just a treatment; it’s the beginning of a transformation. Semaglutide isn’t a quick fix; it’s a medically supervised tool that curbs appetite, balances blood sugar, and supports sustainable weight loss.”

How Did Fans React to Talia’s Transformation?

Her followers shared mixed reactions online. While some praised her new look, others questioned the method behind it. One fan commented, “Don’t trust all wellness clinics. Many are there for money and money alone.” Another wrote, “Am I the only one who thinks she still looks good after cutting weight? Kenyans will talk no matter what.”

Many, however, sent her words of encouragement. “You are still the Queen and don’t allow to be intimidated,” wrote Abdul Ali, while another fan added, “From way back I’ve always respected you, Ital Talia, you’ve never disappointed me, keep going siz.”

Away from her transformation, Talia recently opened up about a frightening experience while out jogging. She recounted how a tree fell just 12 feet ahead of her, narrowly missing her. She said she believed it wasn’t a coincidence, especially since it happened a day before her son’s birthday, noting that she always prays with him before leaving the house.
