Kim Kardashian Diagnosed With Brain Aneurysm

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. The revelation came in footage from the latest season of The Kardashians, where the 45-year-old reality star is seen undergoing an imaging scan.
Kim appeared to suggest that her small aneurysm may have been caused by stress. Brain aneurysms are more common than many realize, affecting roughly one in every 50 people. In many cases, individuals are unaware they have one, as unruptured aneurysms often cause few or no symptoms. However, when they enlarge, they can trigger headaches, balance problems, or speech difficulties.
The condition becomes life-threatening if the aneurysm bursts, which can lead to severe bleeding and, in some cases, death. Although aneurysms can form in various parts of the body, they are most often found in the aorta, the major artery that carries blood from the heart.
Medical research shows that brain aneurysms most commonly occur in adults aged between 30 and 60, with women being more affected than men. Associate professor of neurology Dr. Laura Stein told NBC News: “The most well-described risk factors include a predisposition [family history of aneurysm], high blood pressure, cigarette smoking and inflammation.” She added that ruptured brain aneurysms are particularly dangerous, killing about one in three patients.
“When it’s a blood vessel that’s in the head and it bleeds, there’s a much higher risk of having a very bad problem just because the brain is enclosed in a fixed space,” Dr. Stein explained.
Doctors typically monitor low-risk aneurysms for changes, while more serious cases may require surgery or other interventions.
Elsewhere in the episode, Kim reflected on her relationship with her ex-husband, Kanye West, stating that he will remain part of her life “no matter what” as they continue co-parenting their four children.
