Zari Hassan Explains Why Her Husband Shakib Cham Attracts So Much Attention From Women

Zarinah Hassan, popularly known as Zari the Boss Lady, has shared the reasons she believes her husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya receives a lot of attention from women. In a viral undated video, the couple appear together in an interview where Zari openly compliments Shakib’s looks and affirms her commitment to him. “You are going to be my last husband. You are handsome, and women want to share this with me,” Zari said.

The conversation between them becomes more direct as Zari asks Shakib if he realises how many women are drawn to him. “Nah, stop lying, and you are lying on camera,” she added. Shakib responded by saying, “Listen! Some look at Shakib and they are like this guy is unique.” Zari then revealed, “Women even try to get your attention in clubs in my presence,” to which Shakib calmly replied, “I never see them.”

Zari went on to explain that attention from men toward her comes from qualities she believes they admire. She said men approach her because she is “beautiful, intelligent, hard-working, and a good mother.” She added that she believes women are similarly drawn to Shakib because of her influence. “Do you know women love you because of me? Do you know that?” she asked.

Why Has Shakib Faced Criticism Since Marrying Zari?

In a statement posted on his Instagram account on January 21, 2025, Shakib expressed the challenges he has faced since becoming Zari’s husband. Much of the criticism stemmed from their age difference, which had been a topic of online debate long before their reality show premiered. “Personally, I’ve faced a lot of criticism before the show, especially after becoming Zari’s husband,” he revealed.

Their conversation in the viral clip continued with Zari asking, “Do women vibe you?” Shakib answered, “I know.” She replied, “Yeah, women love you because of me… they are always wondering what I saw in you.” Shakib disagreed slightly, saying, “Not all of them.”

How Has Their Marriage Handled Public Drama and Online Attention?

The couple’s relationship has experienced public tension before. In August 2024, social media platforms lit up after Shakib openly expressed frustration about Zari’s ex-husband, Diamond Platinumz, visiting her home in South Africa. Shakib felt disrespected for not being informed beforehand and accused Zari of sidelining him. Zari later explained on social media that his reaction came from insecurity and clarified that the visit was strictly for their daughter’s special day.

She addressed the situation firmly and said, “Let me tell you something, if I want to get back to Diamond, I can be back. If Diamond wants to get back to me, he can be back. But we are so over each other. I don’t want him, he doesn’t want me; I have a husband, he has a girlfriend.” Zari defended her marriage and added, “Me, Zari the boss lady. I am a millionaire, and I am intelligent. I can be with whoever I want, but I chose my husband, and I don’t care how you guys see him, ‘Oh, he is broke; he is not good enough.’ I chose to be with him, but he has to put me through this. Ai, my guy, you better change, my guy, you better recognise…”

Despite the tension, Zari later apologised to Shakib after the online fallout, and the couple appeared to move forward together.
