Malcolm Warns Men to Stay Out of Betty Bayo Children Custody Debate

TikTok creator Arnold Malcolm is urging men to remain silent and avoid choosing sides in the ongoing online discussions about the custody of Betty Bayo’s children, Sky and Danny. His message challenges the growing trend of social media commentary that often intensifies already sensitive family issues. Malcolm explained in his video posted on Monday, December 8, 2025, that public debates tend to heighten tension and create unnecessary confusion instead of promoting real solutions.
He encouraged men to observe situations involving children carefully and avoid rushing into opinions influenced by online noise. Malcolm criticised the habit some men have of inserting themselves into private disputes, especially when digital platforms elevate every comment into public spectacle. He argued that this behaviour often distracts from what should be the central focus, which is the wellbeing of the children.
“Kuna wanaume utapata wako na mdomo hapa. Piga mdomo, observe, pimia. Usijaribu kupiga rush,” Malcolm said.
His remarks were also directed at the discussions surrounding Betty Bayo’s widower, Hiram Gitau, known as Tash, and her former partner, Pastor Victor Kanyari. Malcolm voiced support for Kanyari, stating that “Heri Kanyari juu, tunajua Kanyari agenda yake,” and highlighted that Kanyari has consistently demonstrated commitment to the children’s best interests.

Why Are Online Debates Fueling the Tension?
Malcolm raised a point many people have been debating. He questioned why Betty did not formally name her widower, Tash, as her next of kin. “Ata unaskia mama anasema yeye ndio next of kin. Mbona hakueka Tash, next of kin?” He suggested that the omission should spark important questions rather than rushed online judgments.
His comments came just days after Betty Bayo’s mother, Joyce Wairimu, publicly defended Kanyari. She described him as a good man and affirmed that she maintains a positive relationship with him. Joyce urged Kanyari to continue prioritising the children’s welfare.
What Does This Mean for the Ongoing Custody Conflict?
Joyce also criticised Tash for allegedly mismanaging Betty’s property and failing to release the children despite earlier family agreements. She added, “As for Tash, I want him to return all the belongings he currently has that belonged to my daughter, and I will personally oversee that process.”
Malcolm’s message adds another voice to a heated debate. His call for men to stay quiet and avoid fueling conflict invites young audiences to think more critically about how social media commentary affects real families. By emphasising observation, patience and responsibility, he highlights the importance of keeping children’s welfare at the centre of every conversation.
