Dr Ofweneke Reveals Deep Personal Reason for Blocking Visitors From His Home

Kenyan comedian and media personality Sande Bush, popularly known as Dr Ofweneke, has shared the reasons behind his strict rule of keeping visitors out of his home. In a past interview with a local YouTuber, he described his house as a deeply personal space that serves a purpose far beyond everyday living. According to him, it is a sanctuary that he protects with firm boundaries.
Ofweneke explained that he prefers to meet people outdoors rather than host them indoors. He said he keeps social interactions outside to preserve the peace and energy he has built within his walls. “I feel my house is more of a man cave. I do not allow people into my house. Let us meet outside; let us have coffee, tea, but when it is time to go home, let everyone go back to their place,” Ofweneke revealed.
His connection to his home is strongly spiritual. He shared that his house represents an altar where he connects with God, and he takes that atmosphere seriously. “I am a firm believer that my house is my altar, a sacred space. From November 3 to December 3, I was in a moment of prayer and am at a place where my whole house is full of grace is full of the presence of God,” he added.
He made it clear that protecting this environment is a priority for him. Any influence that might disrupt the spiritual atmosphere is unwelcome. “I am not willing to let another spirit come and contaminate what God and I have worked on,” he stated.
Why Does Dr Ofweneke Prefer a Private Personal Life?
Ofweneke also addressed the contrast between his public persona and his private reality. Despite being known for his energetic and humorous character, he shared that he is far from an extrovert. Instead, he describes himself as someone who prefers solitude and quiet moments away from the spotlight.
“I am not an extrovert, as people think I am a totally closed-in person, there are times I just cave in,” he disclosed. His statement highlighted the difference between the entertainer fans see and the man behind the scenes.
What Is the Difference Between Dr Ofweneke and Sunday Bush?
He explained that the personality known as Dr Ofweneke is the version people enjoy on stage and on screen. However, behind that identity is Sunday Bush, a private individual who values retreating into a personal world that gives him peace. “For me, there is Dr Ofweneke and then there is Sunday Bush. Ofweneke is what you guys enjoy and consume, but behind Ofweneke, there is a persona, Sunday Bush, who really a times, wants to go back to his world.”
His reflections offered a rare glimpse into the balance entertainers often navigate between public demand and personal wellbeing.
