Brian Chira’s Grandmother Esther Njeri Says Kenyans Ignored Her Plea for a Car

Esther Njeri, the grandmother of the late TikToker Brian Chira, has voiced her disappointment toward Kenyans, claiming that her earlier appeal for help to buy a car was ignored. Speaking during a TikTok live session on Thursday, October 30, 2025, Njeri appeared visibly frustrated as she addressed her followers about what she described as a drop in their generosity and engagement.

Why is Brian Chira’s grandmother upset with fans?

During the live session, Njeri expressed her dissatisfaction with how her followers have recently withdrawn their support. She said that despite her continued efforts to entertain and interact with fans, many have stopped sending gifts and contributions that once sustained her.

“Tap my live, guys. Send me a money gun. I want something that can last me at least three months. These days, I even stopped asking for TikTok gifts like I used to because people stopped sending them,” she said.

The content creator revealed that she had previously requested help from her followers to buy a Mazda Demio, but the appeal went unanswered. “And I had also asked for a Demio car to be bought for me, but people refused. But on this live, send me money gifts,” she added.

Njeri explained that she has now shifted her focus from virtual gifts to monetary contributions, saying that cash donations are more practical and can sustain her longer. “Send them to me. Have my gifters moved away? Where are you? I cannot see you,” she said while urging her supporters to re-engage with her content.

What happened to the money raised after Chira’s death?

Her comments come months after she addressed speculation surrounding the funds raised for her following her grandson’s tragic death in March 2024. In July 2025, Njeri confirmed that the over KSh 8 million contributed by TikTokers and fans had already been spent.

“It is true, I did not block anyone. It is also true that I used all the money, and it got finished. I bought a piece of land with that money, and the rest was used to build a good house. The money bought me a piece of land and built me a smart house. Just the other day, I also bought ring lights to create content, and here they are,” she said.

Earlier in the year, Njeri had also defended herself from critics who accused her of idleness, insisting she still works hard on her farm. “Hi, guys. Today, Grandma has been at home, working on her small piece of land. Some people usually ask whether Grandma really works. Yes, Grandma farms,” she said.
