Comedian and digital content creator David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, and his baby mama, Carrol Muthoni, widely known as Carrol Sonie, have reunited publicly months after a highly publicized and bitter breakup. The former couple appeared together in a video shared on their Instagram accounts on Monday, December 15, 2025, offering fans a rare and calm interaction that reflected a more mature chapter in their relationship.

The video captured a candid and light-hearted conversation between the two, drawing attention from followers who have closely followed their journey since their separation. During the exchange, Sonie asked Mulamwah about his current career direction, prompting him to speak openly about how his priorities have shifted over time.

“Do you do comedy ama uliwacha?” Sonie asked.

“Nowadays I am more into business stuff; comedy, unajua ni ya upcoming ukiona mtu ni funny ndio anaanza,” Mulamwah answered.

His response suggested a transition from mainstream comedy toward business ventures, signaling growth and a change in focus that resonated with many viewers navigating similar career evolutions.

Who initiated the reunion between Mulamwah and Sonie?

Mulamwah revealed that the meet-up was initiated by Sonie, a detail that surprised him at the time. According to the stand-up comedian, he was initially confused when he saw her name appear on his phone screen. He explained that Sonie had reached out to request an interview for her YouTube show, a move he did not expect.

“Niliona simu and I was like, ni mtu nilisave vibaya ama nini? then you spoke and we are here,” he disclosed.

Sonie also shared her perspective on the reunion, noting that she had set a personal condition before agreeing to meet Mulamwah. She emphasized the importance of maturity and meaningful conversation, making it clear that she wanted to engage from a healthier place.

“I told you something; I think I will only meet you the moment nikishaona umekuwa mature kidogo, you know I cannot sit down nikusikilize ukisema vitu fulani,” Sonnie stated.

The interaction reflected a more balanced dynamic, with both parties acknowledging personal growth since their separation.

What has Mulamwah said about reconciliation and their future?

The reunion followed earlier moments that hinted at unresolved emotions between the two. On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Mulamwah admitted that he was confused after Sonie liked one of his Instagram Reels posts. Months earlier, on March 29, 2025, he spoke openly during an interview about their relationship and efforts to reconcile.

Mulamwah explained that reconciliation is a gradual process and emphasized that he holds no resentment over their past differences. He expressed optimism while acknowledging that progress takes time and depends on how both individuals cope with separation.

“Reunion ni kitu itafanyika with time. It’s about the coping mechanism, and people have different ones. So ni duty yako. I believe step zenye tumemake ni mingi na tutafika, lakini hatutaki kurudi huko nyuma,” he shared.

He further noted that what matters most at the moment is the well-being of everyone involved. According to him, as long as both parties are doing well individually, they are moving in the right direction. He also reflected on how emotional strain can sometimes influence behavior after a breakup, stressing the importance of patience and prayer.

“As long as everybody is doing well, hiyo ndiyo maana. Unajua, sometimes kuna scientist alisema sodium is very reactive ikiwa peke yake. So kuna vitu zikiwa peke yake hukuwa different. Sometimes things may work, and other times they may not, but you keep praying. In the coming years, I hope things will fall into place,” he said.

The former couple split just months after welcoming their daughter, a breakup that played out publicly and drew intense online scrutiny. Their recent reunion, however, suggests a calmer and more respectful path forward, centered on growth, co-parenting, and personal stability.
