Mueni, Wife of Bolo Bespoke, Tells Family Not to Bury Her with Makeup or Wigs

Bolo Bespoke’s wife, Mueni, has made her posthumous wishes clear: she does not want to be buried wearing makeup or a wig. Her heartfelt declaration, shared on TikTok, has sparked online conversations about authenticity, personal identity, and how people wish to be remembered after death.

In a video posted on Thursday, October 30, 2025, Mueni explained that she has never been a fan of cosmetics or artificial beauty accessories. “I see people giving instructions that when someone dies, certain things should be done. I have my own instructions. When I die, do not apply makeup on me. One thing you have never known is that I do not like makeup at all, and I also do not like wigs,” she said.

Her comments came shortly after a viral will, allegedly belonging to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, surfaced online, revealing that he wished to be buried within 72 hours of his death. The revelation appeared to inspire many Kenyans, including Mueni, to publicly express their own burial preferences.

Why Mueni Prefers a Natural Look

In her TikTok post, Mueni shared that while she sometimes wears makeup for professional reasons, it is not something she enjoys. “Sometimes I wear makeup because I am forced to, but if I had the choice, I would shave my hair and remain like this, with my natural face. And if you feel bad about that, then leave it as it is. I love my skin to breathe. I love my free life,” she added.

Her statement resonated with many viewers who praised her for embracing natural beauty and self-acceptance in a world that often prioritizes artificial perfection.

Nuru Okanga Also Declares His Burial Wishes

Mueni’s remarks coincided with a similar declaration from Nuru Okanga, a well-known supporter of the late Raila Odinga. Speaking to a local YouTuber on October 18, 2025, Okanga said that Raila’s passing had inspired him to make his final wishes public.

“I, Nuru Okanga, have been left in difficult hands. So, as Nuru Okanga, I will continue to speak out. And Kenyans, on the day you hear that I am dead, ensure that within 72 hours I am buried, just as Raila stated in his will. I also want to follow Raila quickly,” he said.

Both Mueni and Okanga’s declarations have reignited national conversations about personal choice, cultural traditions, and the growing trend of individuals taking control of their final wishes while still alive.
